I first met Karen when she was 14, she was an unbelievably dedicated netballer and completely loyal. This remained with her all her life. I went with her to final U18 England trials, unfortunately she wasn't selected, their loss.

Karen and I remained friends and played netball together until recently. Without a doubt she is a great loss to everyone who knew her. A wonderful, thoughtful and caring friend with a lovely sense of humour. My life was better because I knew her and I will treasure the memories I have of her.
